Am I the only person annoyed with Pain's stupid dialogue in 374? He lost half his badass in one single chapter by spouting crap about being god. If it isn't about god it's about pain. He's like some sort of crappy caricature of Light from Death Note.

Honestly, Akatsuki have become so lame now. Including Oro they've lost 5 members and only managed to take down 1 fairly important character with them (Asuma, Chiyo doesn't count because she killed herself). Konan gets owned by Jiraiya's hair and some oil (fastest ownage for an akatsuki ever) and now Pain's a freak with an over the top god complex. Madara/Tobi and Itachi had better kickass and remind people why Akatsuki is a threat.

On the plus side, Jiraiya has kicked so much ass lately. I mean taking on two akatsuki with his hair is quite beast.

Anyway, sorry if I sound like I'm flaming or spamming or whatever, I wanted to get it off my chest and I also wanted to know what you guys thought of it.

But I think in the following chapters the whole Jiraya-Pain-Konan fight will get thrilling.

Yeah I do think that the whole pain-dialogue was kinda not as cool as his character BUT i was kinda expecting something along those lines since we saw his "good kid " flashback. What was annoying was that Jiraiya fell for the ole 'tree stump replacement' technique. I mean jeeze...

I agree with you, 1969, in that this fight should somewhat makeup for that dialogue.

Kunai, to be honest with you, I was actually happy to see the log comeback. It's been a while since we last saw it.

Okay, so I thought I got over this until a certain event yesterday.

So I'm playing Pokemon Diamond on my friend's DS and boy have the graphics improved since I last played it. Anyway the leader of Team Galactic (Team Rocket Equivalent for Diamond) Says something like this (Obviously not word for word):

"With the power of the legendary DIALGA I shall destroy the world and rebuild it anew. And I shall become a deity"

Sounds familiar? Let me add some more to this:
*They both summon retarded monsters
*They both use a specialised technique to control legendary beasts (Pain uses that statue, I know it isn't controlling but he plans to control Bijuu power through some sort of means anyway. Pokedude uses this device he created called "Red Chain" or something) and use those legendary beasts to "rebuild" the world.

Excuse me but what? Are you telling me that Pain is exactly like a villain from....POKEMON!?

I have completely lost faith in this guy's character. Damn, this series really needs a true return of Oro (Kabutoro is okay but doesn't have a good enough purpose) and massive asswhooping from Itachi.

Oh, and saf_pa, considering the fact that the log move is so awesome (Well awesome from the POV of a desperate ninja in trouble) I think it would be worth it to build a whole storeroom for logs.

Logz are for the weak!! Clones are better imho. But the log was awesome back when it used to be pulled by kakashi all the time. But considering Peinz bad assness in the last chapter, are u still not cool with him?
